With over 180,000 residents and 500,000 workers within a 10-minute walk of the area, Downtown Yonge is a best in class destination that features a range of opportunities and experiences, and bolsters Toronto’s economy.
- Over 4 million square feet of retail space
- Over 700 retail stores; 156 fashion stores, 190 restaurants, 110 services.
- Almost 80% of businesses are small, non-leading retailers (Centre for the Study of Commercial Activity, 2018).
- Shoppers can enjoy a range of shopping choices, with four malls – including the CF Toronto Eaton Centre, Atrium on Bay, College Park and 10 Dundas East – and a multitude of unique and boutique streetfront retail.
- The CF Toronto Eaton Centre, the busiest shopping mall in North America, is located right in the heart of Downtown Yonge, boasting over 50 million visitors annually. It is also one of the top malls in Canada by sales per square foot and the 2nd largest in Canada by square footage (Retail Council of Canada, 2017).
